Find Your Edge

Blog? Are You Kidding Me?
Blog? Are You Kidding Me?

How’s the health of your competitive advantage?

If it is anything less than excellent, then you may want to consider what I’m about to suggest, and here’s why:

  1. Has minimal start up costs
  2. Can be done virtually anywhere
  3. Can be done virtually any time
  4. Can be done alone
  5. Progress is easily measured
  6. Provides multiple benefits when done regularly

That’s the key message today. Why would anyone avoid a low cost, incredibly flexible way to improve your edge.

You absolutely need an Internet presence. If you tune this out, you’re in big trouble. The same kind of trouble if you ignore a bad health report.

The easiest way to enhance your edge is to blog. If you don’t know how, there are tons of free online “how to” articles.

GoDaddy has 35 million domain names registered.  GoDaddy has seven million customers.

I’m one of them.

Will you be?

Leadership Wake Up Call

This Is Your Wake Up Call
This Is Your Wake Up Call

Yesterday’s jungle jeff blog post ended sort of weird, didn’t it?

It felt like that to me anyway.

Leadership. Personal leadership or professional leadership. It doesn’t matter.

Maybe it’s “right-sizing” at work, that’s your wake-up call.

Maybe it’s an alarming medical report that does it at home.

These are the things that rattle our cage and inspire us to make dramatic changes.

Positive changes.

Life-altering changes.

Just the other day, a neighbor commented that he was relieved he was given a package. As an executive, he felt he always remained a “target”.

Now, he no longer has that worry. He said he saw it coming and started an entrepreneurial business last year.  Now he can devote full-time effort to it. He claimed he should have done this long ago.

Good for him.  Proactive effort. Now, back to the point. What are you planning to do this year?

Makes everyone think, doesn’t it?

And then the Christmas Day attempted terrorist attack reminded me of something.

Morning After Remedy?

Happy New Year.  Anyone reading this with a hangover?  🙂

Just a guess. A hunch.  Been there done that.

On a scale of 1-10, with 10 the highest, how much thought have you put into your big, audacious goals for 2010?

You don’t even want to know mine.  Seriously. It’s like a 15, or maybe a 20!

That’s totally flipping out of control, isn’t it?  Maybe some of you are still drunk, but pinky-swear, that’s the real number.

Okay, here comes the Hail Mary Pass – I ain’t waiting to find out my time is almost up, and then try to start doing something great.

I also am not going to wait for another potentially serious wake-up call to get my butt in gear.

Different strokes for different folks.

Christmas Gift for You

Thank You
Thank You

Do you celebrate anything this time of year? Some do and some don’t. No worries.

Today’s post is the conclusion from yesterday’s promise to reveal an important truth. Discovering it is like receiving a very special gift.

Spirituality is simply one of many diversity layers we should all respect, appreciate, value and encourage.

One Christmas tradition that many (not all) participate in is gift giving.

My Family celebrates Christmas and the birth of Jesus. Needed to tell you that so I can tell you this.

And here is my gift to you.

The only thing that can stop you is also deceptively simple.

And this thing that can stop you is so strong, a thousand warriors can not overcome this one lone obstacle.

You.

Merry Christmas.
