Well, It Isn’t Really All About You, It’s Really All About A Dad’s Promise

jeff noel wants to look back with no regrets in case something bad ever happens

Mid Life Celebration began so quietly and humbly in 2009. The growth in visits, hits, page views – mind boggling. A father’s desire to leave a trail for his young son was the critical momentum needed to honor a 30-year promise to write a book about life for his kids.

Well, jeff noel has only one “kid” (11). And his trail is 4,500 posts long, or about 900 for each of Life’s Big Choices – Mind, Body, Spirit, Money and HQ. A trail long enough and balanced enough to resonate with many others.

For Baby Boomers, Personal Leadership Begins With Choosing Between A Midlife Crisis Or A Midlife Celebration

Our Brain Affects Our Attitude How Much?

Midlife offers baby boomers two personal leadership choices. Have a midlife crisis or a midlife celebration. What’s the difference? Prolific Blogger jeff noel says it’s an attitude, a passion for life. To choose between victim or victor.

Excellent personal leadership is hard. Good and very good personal leadership are much easier. But jeff noel cautions that good and very good aren’t good enough. Not if you want to look back with few regrets.

Trophy Value

Last night as my wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary with our great company, it really hit me.  I mean, it seriously hit me.  And it really comes as no surprise.  However, because of it’s simplicity, it is rampantly commonly overlooked.

Great companies are founded and grow for one simple reason: They want to make a difference in the lives of others.

Plus, great companies reward loyalty with valuable trophies. Trophy value is a priceless, intangible reminder that an employee’s longevity is an integral part of being world-class.

Say what you want, but nothing changes the fact that there is an unstoppable force when people are led with passion and are committed to make a difference.

And then it occurred to me this morning, that’s why I write five daily blogs.  I mean, who does that?

Does this mean I get another trophy?

Wisdom

What is wisdom and why is it so valuable?

Are you wise?  Am I wise?  How do any of us really know?

While I may or may not be wise, I do work very hard to take what I teach and use it personally.  Why?  Two reasons.  To show how common sense ideas can be applied anywhere and because it actually makes my life better.  Period.

Simple example, but I encourage you not to be tempted to dismiss it’s significance.  I never capitalize my name.  That’s a whole other story waiting to be told.

Back to the questions and the point.

What is wisdom?  How about this thought:

In the absence of clearly defined goals, we become strangely loyal to performing daily acts of trivia.”  —  anonymous

WOW!

Seriously, wow!

A few weeks ago (here’s the link if you want instant access: www.junglejeff.net/?p=257 ), I wrote a post that contained the essence of this quote.

Do you know how long I lived my life strangely loyal to performing daily acts of trivia?

Wwwwaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too long.

Now, not so much.  Not perfect by any means.  Never will be.

But!

But, I am more razor-focused on World-Class delivery and content than ever.  Razor-focused.

I often wonder what took me so long to figure out the difference in results, when I’m razor-focused, compared to when I was loyal to performing daily acts of trivia.

Make it a GREAT, razor-focused day, because if you don’t, who will.  Carpe diem, jungle jeff  🙂

PS.  Tomorrow, the story of no caps. Maybe.
