jeff noel says, Somebody Stop Me?

Hey, it’s your crazy, one-take-You Tube video guy, jeff noel, here. You know, the five-a-day blogger. Somebody stop this guy. Please.

Did you bust your hump this week? I mean, to deliver excellence in everything you do?

Wait, I’ve got more.  Look, I realize that my style will annoy some people. It’s not intentional.  It’s simply who I am. Okay?

And part of this is the rather intense sense of urgency I feel, which is why we can not wait for others to keep up. Wish there was time to slow down for the slower ones, but there isn’t.

The truth is, being excellent takes everything you’ve got. So if you want to be world-class, but don’t want to work, this ain’t the guy or the blogs for you.

Have fun, avoid negativity, dream big, work hard, be creative, skip excuses, and just keep doing it.

Work For Money?

jungle jeff, Daily reflections on Excellence, has an overarching theme.  Money.

As I teach our son about life’s four big quadrants, jungle jeff’s blog is focused on only one.  Money.

Money is not the root of all evil. It is the love of money that is the root.

Whatever you believe, I’m teaching our son that every human should contribute to society in some way.  In return, society pays you with money, generally speaking.

With money, you can buy food, shelter, insurance, transportation, and even use money to help others.

And one more thing I’m trying to teach him, “He is rich who owes nothing.” — Hungarian Proverb

Money, Money, Money….Money

Money, Money, Money….Money“.  The O’Jays, 1974, For The Love of Money.

I want to make a ton of money.  Seriously.  Enough to buy whatever I want.

First on my list:

  1. A Cure for Crohn’s disease

To take action, – to “put my money where my mouth is” – I’ve returned to school to earn my MBA.

Maybe that’ll be second on the list – pay off school loans.

How Important Is Money To You?

Money.  Can’t live with it, can’t live without it.  Money has always been my biggest stressor.

Eventually, I learned a very simple and very profound rule.  It is the first rule that should be learned.

  • Spend less than you earn

What made this most basic of rules so elusive for me, is that I did not subscribe to common sense.  A million reasons for that, which I’ll not even attempt to address.

The second rule I learned is have a business.  After reading “Rich Dad Poor Dad” last Christmas, my whole mindset about money was changed forever….

Wait, There’s More

My friend, a true Disney fan, even went as far as suggesting, “You really need to be an expert before people will follow you”.

And I thought out loud, “Really”?

So this led to a decent discussion about:

  • How do you become an expert?  It certainly isn’t overnight
  • How do you develop a following?  It too, isn’t overnight.

I boldly, but with unseen humility, stated that I’m a wellness expert.   What makes me a  “wellness expert”?

Mind.  Body.  Spirit.  Money.

Expert?  Really now?

The ability to deliver great results.  That’s what makes you an expert.

When you can make common sense, common practice.

Bold?  Absolutely.

Boastful?  Depends on the strength of the person doing the “judging”.  A small mind will probably say, “Boastful”.  A humble mind, “Not boastful at all”.

It’s a test we’d all like to pass, but few have the courage to take.

Being fanatical about quality and practicing what’s preached, I take the test daily.

Carpe diem, jeff noel, honor student.  🙂
