Go Daddy Is Awesome

Go Daddy is awesome.  The past two days I’ve reconnected with Go Daddy, and remember why I love them so much.

They offer world class customer service.  Consistently. Great product.  Great price. Great selection.  Great service.

That’s all a person can ask for, isn’t it?  That a company would live up to their promise every day, with every interaction.

Impossible?  Probably.  But Go Daddy seems to have a much higher “success rate” than most companies I’ve worked with over 50 years.

Anyway, WordPress updates are done.  Web analytics are clearer.  Web statistics are way up.  Double and triple in many areas.  The reason? Because of people like you, reading this now.

THANK YOU!

Twitter, Tweets and Tips

Click 101 Twitter Tips to see a pile of great ways to use Twitter more effectively.

Are you still trying to figure out Twitter, Tweets, Retweets, FollowFriday, # hashtags, @ and other Twitter stuff?  Me too.  It’s not that it’s difficult.  It simply a matter of finding time to read, try, read some more and retry.

Good luck with Twitter, Facebook, You Tube, Skype, flickr, LinkedIn, or whatever else you use to stay connected and grow.

That’s really what life is about isn’t it – growing.  If you’re not growing, then the blinding flash of the obvious is, you are ……

What Do These Have In Common?

What do these have in common:

  • Bill Clinton
  • Prime Time TV
  • Jesse Jackson
  • Tabloids
  • Government
  • Newspapers
  • Internet sites
  • Social Media

The list goes on and on.  All of these have pushed society’s buttons on what is acceptable.

Sex, Racism, Prejudice, Greed, Corruption, Religion, Politics, Crudeness, Aggression, Violence.

All of these things or people have pushed the limits of acceptable boundaries.  But it’s Social Media that intrigues me the most.  Why?

  • Because of it’s power to change things
  • Because of it’s ease of use
  • Because of it’s reach
  • Because it’s use is growing exponentially

Except in the corporate landscape.  People who lead big corporations are usually older, and stereotypically, unaware (and maybe intimidated) of emerging social media trends and possibilities.

Where do you fall in this mix?  And, more importantly, what do you plan to do?

Happy Birthday Walt Disney World

Happy Birthday Walt Disney World.  Disney World opened to the public on October 1, 1971, nearly five years after Walt Disney died from cardiac arrest (brought on from the removal of his cancerous left lung on November 7, 1966).

Walt’s older brother Roy O. Disney, at 73 years old, and enjoying retirement, had a big decision after Walt died on December 15, 1966.

Sell or develop.

Disney had purchased 27,443 acres, or 43 square miles, of alligator, snake and mosquito infested swampland during the mid-1960’s.  It is said the purchase price averaged less than $200 an acre.

Bought it cheap, sell it cheap.  Or, build?  And build Roy did.

Thank you to Walt Disney, Roy O. Disney, and the entire Disney organization for making Walt Disney’s biggest dream come to life.

My Family has enjoyed hundreds of visits to Walt Disney World.  Our home is located just a few miles from Cinderella Castle. Every night we see and hear the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

It’s been a dream come true to live so close to the most Magical place on Planet Earth.

Darwin Disney?

“It not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change” .Charles Darwin

Keep moving forward.   — Walt Disney

Friday night my son and I watched “Meet the Robinsons” on The Disney Channel.  At the very end of the Disney movie is Walt Disney’s quote.

Do you know what Charles Darwin and Walt Disney are trying to say?
