Crazy How Fast It Adds Up

The other day, in doing the math, an epiphany:

  • 12 years, Professional Speaker
  • Speaking 48 weeks a year
  • Averaging, conservatively, 500 people per week
  • 12 x 48 x 500 = 288,000

This number could actually be double, 576,000, but I’d rather err on conservative side.

Speaking at Church, roughly 1,200 people each time. Keynotes can have 3,000, more commonly though, 300-800. A workshop, maybe 40.

Crazy how it adds up. Bet it’s true for you as well, in whatever it is you do.

In Doing The Math

There’s no need for these. No bull here…

How many times in your life have you been ready to quit, when in doing the math, you realized you were so close to being done that you were ashamed to admit it? Overjoyed by your discovery. But really quite embarrassed.

Unlike many speakers, I literally speak 5 days a week, week in, week out. Those recent comments about “demonstrating world class platform skills” got me thinking why?

Now I know….tomorrow….

Enjoying A Midlife Celebration

Turn up the heat people. Are you a thermometer or the thermostat? Big difference…

The key to enjoying life, even in these challenging economic times, is finding the good in everything. The Bible hints at this with, “In everything give thanks”.

While it is extraordinarily painful to see things (important, game-changing things) others don’t see and allow yourself to be negatively influenced, there is so much good that comes from your pain:

  • Motivation
  • Determination
  • Creativity
  • Purpose
  • Opportunity

That last one, opportunity is the coolest thing that has happened.

You start doing the math and an amazing equation presents itself, and only you know the answer.

And yes, jeff noel is definitely enjoying a midlife celebration. You still in?

Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia…two days ago…

It’s a funny thing, being a deep thinker, my intuitive thoughts are mostly cast aside by others as crazy.

And I have to admit, it was extraordinarily painful. For years. More like a lifetime.

So in the put up or shut up test, I decided to take the test – press on and not look back.
