Day 2 WGcab, work

Mountains
Asking a photo to capture this accurately is a big ask.
Honeymooners in the mountains
Good thing we are here in person to help explain to others what they’re seeing in the photo.
Honeymooners in the mountains
How do you explain to someone that if you simply turn around you no longer see any mountains. All you see is the Great Plains that go on for hundreds of miles.
Mountains meeting the Great Plains
Literally indescribable.
Disney Keynote Speaker in the mountains
Cheryl was looking for fossils and i climbed up here to record some friends, family, and client videos.
Mountain profiles
The higher you climb, even if it’s only a little bit more than where you’re currently at, yields views you didn’t know were possible.

In the weird blogging experiment, we are already on our third day back home.

Just wanted to write that down.

The heat and humidity are our friends.

And yet, the mountains are calling.

Wheels up in four days.

Kiowa Junction: Highway 49 to the right takes you to Two Med. Highway 89 to the left goes to East Glacier.

In the constant urge for more, remember this…

Less is more.

We stopped at the public park for a lunch break before a walking tour of town.

Real life in real time. Next to our picnic table.
highway 2 sign
Highway 2 is decently famous amongst people who’ve driven it for great lengths.

As age gifts me (all of us, hopefully) with many leadership lessons and continued opportunities for growth, it’s inspiring to think new thoughts i’ve never before thought.

Upper Two Medicine Lake from the North Shore boat dock is five miles and 800′ elevation gain roundtrip.
mountains reflecting in a lake
Only four people (who camped overnight) were in this vicinity. We are the first ‘day hikers’ to arrive.
backcountry campground sign
You need a backcountry camping permit to stay here.

When you have nothing to prove and nothing to lose, you are in rarified air.

High mountain air would be a great metaphor this month.

Freedom to try and fail.

And by the way, freedom to try and fail is radically better than failing to try.
