Jody can now say he’s been to Pixar Pier. His announcement and Bob Iger’s stepping down announcement was yesterday’s big news.

Bob Iger stepped down, effective immediately, yesterday February 25, 2020.

Stock closed at $128.

Covid19 is threatening the world.

When you live long enough, you know a stock’s rapid rise is not sustainable short term. Stocks are long-term investments.

This is a hard lesson to embrace because few of us can see long-term horizons.

Going the distance, so to speak, requires stamina.

Timeless and timely

The past year and the present year.

My friend and Disney legend Marty Skylar told me that Walt had one foot in the past and one foot in the present.

Marty went on to tell me that Walt used the nostalgia and emotional connection of the past as an anchor for his pitch for a crazy idea for the future.

We fondly call this timeless and timely.

Same for us.

We don’t want to be the people who denounced the original automobile concept in favor of a faster horse.
