There’s Not 1 Person Who Doesn’t Know

It's A Beautiful Day

Some of my friends work in healthcare. You have friends who do too.

My Family has been in and out of hospitals many times. You and your Family have too.

There’s this one particular hospital, say 1,000+ employees. They have a vision/mission like every other company.

There’s not one person who doesn’t know what it is.

Remarkable!

What does it take for that to happen within an organization, of any size, in any industry?

It Doesn’t Matter Epiphany

Life's Big Four
Life's Big Four

Thursday night our son(9) and I were enjoying the pool as the hot Florida sun was preparing to set.

As I floated on the raft, our conversation turned to business and I was explaining the money quadrant in the Mid Life Celebration model.

Listening to the echo of my own voice, I had to go inside and write this down:

“I thought I was worried about alienating myself from my friends. Turns out I was worried about whether I was right or wrong.”

Less Than Half Benchmarking

This Hangs In My Office
Christopher Needed To Be Spoon Fed

Note: This is sort of a spoof, a play on words.

There’s a new personal transformation company I found(ed), called Less Than Half Benchmarking.

Well, that’s really only partially true. It’s not called Less Than Half Benchmarking. It’s called Mid Life Celebration.

But less than half of you reading this will visit  Mid Life Celebration today.

Doing stuff that matters is hard work.

And even fewer will visit another benchmarking site, where there is a temptation to view excellence as showing off.

I promise to help you think differently.

You promise to not expect to be spoon-fed.

Are You An Investor?

Hmmmm.....
Hmmmm.....

Yesterday, a buddy from Church, and a fellow Cub Scout Dad sent me an email with this advertisement for a professional development opportunity here in Orlando, later this Fall.

When you do the right things for the right reasons, eventually, you begin to see dividends, but only if you don’t give up and if you never tire of the basics.

Continually learning, through books, seminars, blogs, university, volunteering, will pay dividends, but only if you consider yourself an investor.
