They should walk out .thinking .differently

Disney Keynote Speaker
A moment in time that will be remembered as the moment things changed.

i worked so hard yesterday to do work that matters.

my bar is set high.

i envision everyone walks out .thinking .differently than they did when they walked in.

There’s only so much you can do.

Humans are flawed individuals.

i know.

i are one.

And in spite of that, i still set the bar ridiculously high.

Great leaders ask scary questions because no one else will do this one thing

Seth is famous, the rest of us are not

Great leaders ask scary questions because no one else will do this one thing.

No one else will ask the same scary question(s) over, and over, and over.

And over.

Why?

Because it’s human nature to think about scary questions… but only once.

And never formulate a transformational answer worthy of changing us.

Why?

Because that’s the status quo of the industrial age’s pinnacle command – do what you’re told.

What If You Read A Book?

Why Read Books?
Why Read Books?

I mean, what if you read one book per month for a year?  Twelve books. Pretty impressive.

What if you did this for two years in a row?  Twenty-four books. Wow!

Now imagine doing this for a decade. Transformational: 120 books.

And there are people who’ve done this.

I have.

Then it dawned on me, “So what?”

Transform Yourself Tip

The number one thing I learned about transforming myself?

It’s probably not going to be what you expect.

I mean, really, what does anyone expect would be required?

Let’s be clear, what I share is what works for me.  In no way, shape or form, should anyone think I’m telling others what they should do. The person I’m talking to in this post is the one in the mirror.

The number one way to transform yourself is to do a small group of interrelated tasks:

  1. Your transformational goal must be for others
  2. You must want to be transformed more than anything, ever
  3. You must prepare for criticism, as others search for your faults

Do these three interrelated tasks, and stay humble.

PS.  And by the way, you will also need to tap into a level of courage and determination you have never known before.

How Important is Trust?

Do You Trust The Makers Of Candy Cigarettes?

Trust is often placed on the list of top leadership skills, while people are compiling key leadership skills and attributes.

How important is trust when stacked up against all the other critical leadership values?

Ever ponder the top key leadership values great leaders possess? Are you now? Good. Here are some that always make the list:

  • Vision
  • Communication
  • Results
  • Inspiration
  • Integrity
  • Trust
  • Experience
  • Relationships
  • Recognition
  • Passion
  • Focus

What do you say is your number one leadership trait?

For me, it’s trust. Everything else revolves around this simple, and often overlooked leader character trait. I place trust ahead of passion, because a leader may have passion, but people mistrust motives, for example.

If you really think about it, how can anything else matter without trust?
