Only so many, work

There are only so many things you can do especially well.

Only so many thoughts that summarize the whole work-life volume.

For example: No one on their deathbed ever said, “Wish I would have spent more time at the office.”

Five just, reprise

four grizzly bears on an iceberg
Doing the five “justs” below is what led me to this place.

Five ‘justs’ (reprise):

  1. Just lead (Leaders)
  2. Just engage (Employees)
  3. Just serve (Customers)
  4. Just love (Loyalty)
  5. Just improve (Creativity)

Note: The (words in parentheses) are the five Disney Institute classes i taught. Years ago i renamed them as the word just before (the word in parentheses): lead, engage, serve, love, improve.

Important to remember

Disney's Chip next to a woman
Chip is dropping some Disney wisdom.

Important to remember that work is not your top priority.

Sounds silly to say.

Then why say it?

Because work is a lifetime habit – a huge part of what we are born to do on this planet.

At some point, we should transition to the sunset of our years.

What you do

post it note notes
What do i do? i use common sense, paradox, and questions as the tools to enable leaders to .think .differently about everything.

What you do is who you become.
