Month

Galaxy’s Edge Cast Previews August 2019.

Here’s a train of thought for the new decade that begins in three days:

  • Moment
  • Hour
  • Day
  • Week
  • Month
  • Quarter
  • Year
  • Decade
  • Life

If Disney Ran Your Life, you learn to instinctively over-focus on the same things you used to under-focus on or ignore.

You learn to be intentional where you used to be unintentional.

The power that a decision we make in a month has the power to grow and influence by the year.

Wanna work?

She wrote Eat, Pray, Love. Then gave a TED talk on a stage with no red dot.

Wanna work?

What is work?

Seriously, what i do rarely feels like work.

Not anymore.

After 60 years, seems like it’s about time to feel that work doesn’t feel like work.

Un-magical reality of inquiring customers

i laughed at this one too. At Disney, we live with this un-magical reality, as does every business.

What time is the three-o’clock parade?

Sounds like a dumb question.

Not in a million years.

(csn, pls txt me when u read this. Thx)

Need versus want, Disney Style

Our animation team had lost its heart and soul. Roy E. Disney knew it and was the catalyst for bringing on Eisner and Wells.

Need versus want, Disney Style.

What?

Needs are demographically driven.

Wants are psychographically driven.

Wants are easily felt but not easily explained.

For example:

I need an insurance policy.

I want piece of mind.

Example two:

I need a vacation.

I want memories that will last a lifetime.

Maybe one percent

Kaboom. A Toy Story 4 reference from the motorcycle character. Way less than one present of Glaciers visitors summit Mt. Reynolds.

Maybe one percent of humanity believes they can have personal vibrancy.

A big part of the equation is discerning what to let go of.

Much like an organization’s lack of focus and discipline can hold a company back from achieving greatness, same lack of focus and discipline holds back individuals – you and me, for example.

That you recognize, embrace, and attack this phenomenon inspires me.

Lead yourself like you mean it.

Thank you for everything you do for me.
