Early Summer Trip day 8, work

Best college cafeteria accolades
Seven consecutive years. Out for a walk and stopped by one of our favorite Allentown ‘restaurants’.

What was it like to attend Cheryl’s 50th High School reunion?

Pretty good.

Visionary?

Didn’t seem so. In my opinion.

Unless the vision was to have fun and get people to connect.

Note: An overwhelming percentage of the 130 classmates attending live near where they grew up. So the need to create get-together opportunities seems weird to me. If you want to connect in person with a classmate, just text them. For Cheryl, that means someone has to fly 1,100 miles, secure lodging, etc, etc. For the rest, an acceptable drive to an agreed upon location. Bring the grandkids if inclined.

Quote
On it.

How will i prepare for the third-day 50th High School reunion finale picnic?

First and foremost, i’ll try to humbly exude the photo above’s message.

This is Cheryl’s time to shine.

i am in the shadows, grateful to witness Cheryl’s loving audacity.

Note: i am the luckiest human on the planet, to be married to Cheryl.

Downtown community yard sale
Not far from Cheryl’s cousin’s house.

What memories do i think will happen from this three-day 50th High School reunion?

i will remember that Michael didn’t sell a thing and literally no one showed up.

Note: Cheryl and i left after Michael’s set-up was complete.

Husky dog
About to step into the PP&L Center arena. Kiska will lead the way.

What should i expect at Cheryl’s 50th High School reunion?

For starters my only expectation is to see Cheryl have the time of her life, at this stage in her life…

Kiska is the 6th Husky since 1959 to represent Allentown’s Dierfuff High School as the official mascot.

How did Monday get a bad reputation? And does it deserve the rep?

The way people think about work/life balance. The way people prepare for their weekend. The way they prepare for their week. The narratives that society, and the herd, tell us about Mondays.

This weekend put a spotlight on each of us having an incredible privilege, insane opportunity, and undisputed responsibility – as CEO of You, Inc.

i love Mondays.

Note: Monday is in a seven-way tie for my favorite day of the week.
