AI summary screen shot
This morning Alan helped me see what i thought AI will do someday. His text with all his questions and Groc 3’s answers, well, make it compelling real for me now. Check out this answer…

Alan asked Groc 3 (AI) a series of questions. This photo is one of many. Too many to share today.

It’s fitting that today is my official final day writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts.

A remarkably astonishing feat.

i actually did it and still can’t fathom that it happened.

Insight & karma: i’ve been wondering for years how i could take an overwhelming number of blog posts (6,000+ per blog x 5 blogs = 30k+) and synthesize it for someone (our son) who would get only the very best from 16 consecutive years of my self-reflection, insight, and hope. Karma delivered the answer, by using a brilliant, personal (and real) example from Alan’s experiments. What are the odds. Literally zero. But it happened anyway.

phone app for car diagnostics
AAA was here two hours ago. Why? Ten minutes into our two-hour plus drive home from Port Richey, Cheryl’s battery light comes on. She’s following me home. i’m in the lead in the brand new car that only had 2 miles on it when we test drove it yesterday. What should have been a celebratory drive home today, was a nail-biter all the way because i/we never knew if the 2015 Honda would die on the way home.
41-second video: As real, and unglamorous, as it gets.

Luck favors the bold.

And the good and decent.

And the humble.

And the broken.

i is all of that and more…

So is whoever reads this.

Photo: Cheryl, our ‘Relationship manager’, the post-it note ‘author’. Before our offer, i spent an hour or so building the context for the simple post-it note price. Photo taken near 6:00pm.

Made a friend.

Disney Institute on the horizon

Life is funny.

Disney Institute is funny, in a weird way.

In a week, i’ll be there all week.

This is gonna be cool.

Why?

How could it not be?

After 11 years since retiring, maybe one DI colleague is still there. His name is Ben Reed.

It will be (unusually) fun to know what i know, and no one will know what i know.

Note: If you’ve never worked in this space, presenters have a habit of feeling like a rock star. And, presenting themselves like a rock star. Why? Because they sound like someone who ‘wrote the book”. Someone who has lived a life others aspire to.

The truth: They haven’t. Not even close. It’s a privilege to know this “insider information”.

Leading Glacier

Apple Watch
Happy Friday. Did what i had time to do before heading to Apple Store…
MacBook Air package box
First new MacBook Air in 10 years.

Leading in Glacier is easy and intuitive when you visit solo.

Decently easy when it’s just me and Cheryl.

It gets exponentially more challenging when you add four (possibly five) more mid-20’s adults.

This is not anywhere near being in my wheelhouse.

Stressful would be accurate.

And, what a challenge and opportunity to have.

Grateful.

Humbled.
