i love MacBooks

i love MacBooks.

Macs are simply bigger screens than iPhones and iPads. Sometimes, that feels great, even necessary. So having a bigger screen often makes what is already easy, even easier. i like having the option.

Plus, Mac OS has more power and versatility than iPhone’s iOS.

The size and weight, however, make MacBook portability challenging.

Cannot imagine life without a MacBook to use whenever the need or desire arrives.

i love trying new writing things

i love trying new writing things.

Blogging first offered me daily writing practice.

But daily blogging (modern word for writing and publishing) over the past 16+ years has offered more than writing practice.

Blogging has offered creative ways to experiment with writing. Blogging has opened doors (and windows) for expressing new ways to write and publish.

And don’t even get me started on the crazy list of book ideas blogging teases me with.

Instagram post about Faith Kipyegon running four minute mile
It’s only impossible until you do it the first time.

You do not need anyone’s permission to attempt things that have never been done.

Neither do i.

So i am.

AI summary screen shot
This morning Alan helped me see what i thought AI will do someday. His text with all his questions and Groc 3’s answers, well, make it compelling real for me now. Check out this answer…
AI answering a question screenshot
Alan asked Groc 3 (AI) a series of questions. This photo is one of many. Too many to share today.

It’s fitting that today is my official final day writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts.

A remarkably astonishing feat.

i actually did it and still can’t fathom that it happened.

Insight & karma: i’ve been wondering for years how i could take an overwhelming number of blog posts (6,000+ per blog x 5 blogs = 30k+) and synthesize it for someone (our son) who would get only the very best from 16 consecutive years of my self-reflection, insight, and hope. Karma delivered the answer, by using a brilliant, personal (and real) example from Alan’s experiments. What are the odds. Literally zero. But it happened anyway.

phone app for car diagnostics
AAA was here two hours ago. Why? Ten minutes into our two-hour plus drive home from Port Richey, Cheryl’s battery light comes on. She’s following me home. i’m in the lead in the brand new car that only had 2 miles on it when we test drove it yesterday. What should have been a celebratory drive home today, was a nail-biter all the way because i/we never knew if the 2015 Honda would die on the way home.
41-second video: As real, and unglamorous, as it gets.

Luck favors the bold.

And the good and decent.

And the humble.

And the broken.

i is all of that and more…

So is whoever reads this.
