Day 17 WGcab, work

mountains
In the absence of smoke, snow, or fog, you get this effect. Photo: Steve or Stacy Wahlberg. That’s me on the left side of the four climbers in the lower middle.

Ask any sized room full of people two questions. Preface the questions with the request to raise your hand if you believe it’s true:

  1. Do you have integrity?
  2. Does everyone one else also have integrity?

Question one produces a room full of hands up.

Question two produces a room full of hands down.

Probably 100% for both results.

Good to know as a leader.

Day 16 WGcab, work

7-second video: Easier than the three-legged race?

The thing i love most about today’s reflection videos from earlier this summer at Glacier Park Lodge’s garden re-dedication is the silliness at an important milestone.

Insight: Silly not only makes people smile, but silly also makes the journey fun.

Day 15 WGcab, work

17-second video: World-class reflections.

Knowing we get to hike up to Granite Park Chalet on only our second full day back feels like hitting the lottery.

For example, one day you are doing unexciting residential, organizational things. The very next day you are enjoying (and thriving in) residing in a high mountain chalet in the continental divide’s shadow.

Plans made a year in advance, not knowing what you can commit to, turn into wonderful, delightful surprises as you solidify actual plans closer in.

Closer in is right here, right now.

Day 14 WGcab, work

19-second video: Worth a second look. Shared it initially about a week ago.

Consistency to go deep using the simplest daily tactics.

Day 13 WGcab, work

26-second video: To see Sinopah from this side is surreal. So few do. Why are we being blessed with the opportunity?

Like seeing Sinopah mountain (above) from the rare side view, seeing 2023-2024 from a never before seen view is metaphorical for me.

It’s easy to see, and believe, the standard view as the only view.

And it’s also easy to see the ‘standard’ as the total picture.

My sight challenges the past year remind me my ‘standard’ eye sight is not the whole picture.

Note: Grateful to have the year-long struggle and the opportunity to heal. Because without the struggle and the opportunity, i could’ve gone right to blindness and never have a second chance.
