On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

4-P’s at Disney

Disney customer service keynote speaker
The three-legged stool is the metaphor we use at Disney.

Being the leader, this simple framework will help you have more effective meetings with your direct reports. Being a direct report, this template enables better focus and superior intentionality.

The 4-P’s for Disney leaders.:

  1. People
  2. Profit
  3. Process
  4. Projects

Without consciously realizing it, a beginner to this process will soon discover they are also covering the balanced scorecard:

  • Cast
  • Guest
  • Business

A Disney concert called 80 and go

Disney Leadership Keynote Speaker

“80 and go”…

Theres a Disney concept one of our Executives coined as “80 and go”.

It’s ok to launch something that isn’t perfect. In fact, waiting for it to be 100% almost guarantees it will never happen.

Launch, learn, revise. Repeat.

Told the designer: make it simple, corporate, and different.
What’s live is the first draft – the 80%.

Taking risks is risky. So is playing it safe.

Every company has a culture

All companies have a culture, only the ones built by design sustain long-term growth.

Is this really true?

Think of it this way…

All humans are given a body but only the ones who purposefully use common sense to intentionally care for it sustain a higher degree of wellness.

Driving by the paint looks fine. Jogging by, it could use a touch up.

Brand reputation is the first thing your customers and employees think of when they see you or hear your name. Your brand is your most important asset. And it should not surprise you that your organization (and personal) culture gives birth to what your people (and you) think and do, without thinking – your employee’s (and your) cumulative behaviors become your brand.

(Emotions trump everything.)
