Benefits of Corporate Blogs

What are the benefits of Corporate Blogs?  Many, to be sure.  So what are they?

That page is still being written.  It’s so new, to most people, that there hasn’t yet been enough time to make any concrete predictions.

However, I’ll go on record and predict this – every great organization will have a Corporate Blog(s).

Don’t believe it?  That’s okay.  I’m flying Delta this week.  In checking to see if my flights have wifi, I discovered something else.

Click here to see Delta’s Corporate Blog.  Pretty cool.

The business world is just getting warmed up.  And so am I.

Orlando Airport Wow Factor – Revisited

Last week, I posted about Michele, the TSA hostess, that delivered the Wow Factor to me while I was at the Orlando International Airport?

Amazing how when you tell a story, it can sometimes be a challenge for the listener to grasp the significance – you know, it’s like one of those, “You had to be there” moments.

Well, virtually every time I travel, the lines are incredibly efficient and well run. Every once in awhile, for all of us, we are challenged in some way.

When I returned from my trip and was passing through the security area, in the opposite direction, there was an unusually long line.   It was at that moment, that Michele’s small act of kindness really hit home for me.

PS.  Today, I’m on the road again, to help make the business world a better place, in spite of these turbulent times.

Jungle Cruise You Tube Funny

Jungle Cruise You Tube Funny.  Funny is as funny does, or something like that.

And now for something completely different.  A friend sent this to me, knowing how many times I delivered the Walt Disney Jungle Cruise Attraction spiel, back in 1982.

Here’s the You Tube video – If you’re ready to be amused, click here.

First there was Sunday’s unusually casual post, and now this?  What’s happening?

Walt Disney said, “Laughter is no enemy to learning.  We should use every gag and every prop at our disposal”.

Words to live by……words to live by……

And On The 7th Day He….

On the seventh day he rested?

Nope.  He floated.

I spent last week at one of Florida’s best beaches, Sanibel Island.  It was the polar opposite of wearing business suits and standing in front of hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of business professionals, delivering keynote speeches.

In between the Writer’s Retreat I was attending, while my Family relaxed, I had opportunities to join them.

Float.  Swim.  Shell.  Sun.  Shade.  Relax.

It’s no different really than when business professionals visit world-class convention destinations like The Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland, or any of the other great Disney Destinations.

Most business professionals attend programs during the day, and also find time to enjoy some things with their family or friends.

And remember the other day I wrote a post, “Where was Obama”? Do you recall the point I was trying to make? Well, it’s the same point here.

By design, I’ve just shared a small glimpse of jungle jeff you haven’t heard about before.

People ask me all the time, “Where do Central Floridians go to get away”?

The intent here is simply having you see me as regular person, who does the same things everyone else does.  It works for the President.  Maybe it’ll work for me.
