Kedron’s birthday wish

34-second video: A 2023 birthday surprise from Kedron.

Culture is what people think and do, without thinking.

Double-edge sword.

Produces excellence.

Or…

Erodes habits.

i hear non-Disney leaders think this way…

“I don’t give culture the benefit of the doubt and it’s uncomfortable for me to habitually, intentionally, over-focus on it… but by giving into those feelings, me and my organization are intentionally falling behind.”

What we accept by default becomes the standard.

You’re pro-culture or anti-culture.

Now ya know.

Cold and hungry

Jeff Noel blog post screen shot
Wrote this seven months ago. It published recently.

As the story goes, a well-established-career Willie Nelson was asked why he wasn’t writing classic songs like he used to.

He replied, “When I wrote those great songs I was cold and hungryI’m not cold and hungry anymore.”

Take it

Disney University TV monitor messaging
When i turn my head slightly to the right, this is what i see.

This post is an intermission from sales talk…

Life is not a dress rehearsal…

On a recent 10-mile walk near Walt Disney World, i began by asking Siri to shuffle my music. There are 6k songs downloaded on the iPhone. Minuscule odds of this song playing in the first hour (or at all).

But it did.

In the moment, felt compelled to share it here.

Then doubt set in…

Unprofessional.

LinkedIn isn’t a place to play office-DJ.

No one has time to stop and watch a music video.

You’re wasting your time.

Don’t embarrass yourself.

Decided to simply smile at the momentary ‘ambition’ to share a song (and performance) that epitomizes passion…

And think about the blessings — being gifted with a new day.

Regret stinks. So here’s the message. Better one day late than never.

Someone is gonna see this for the first time (and get watery-eyed).

My mantra…every day, all day…

Life is not a dress rehearsal. Live like you mean it.

75-second video: Shot this long video from the WordPress admin screen, not iPhone camera app. Why? Knew the video would be long and have an enormous file size. Our yard crew is doing their ‘mastery’ in the background.

My one, signature product is simply this:

A world-class Disney Customer Service Keynote Speech.

Here are two other options (as of this experiment’s first day):

  1. One-day, Chain of Excellence five-pillar overview with key activities: $10k
  2. One-day, deep dive on one of the five Chain of Excellence pillars: $10k

Note: The price is shown as a creative way for me to see what i might consider for an Orlando delivery. My keynote is double that (for a 90-minute engagement). So, don’t quote me on what the one-day engagement fee will eventually be.

Leaders must fight

photo of TV show Lioness on TV
Recently began watching. Intense. Watched Season 1, episode 7 last night.

Leaders must fight for what they believe in.

It’s a harsh reality that makes sense to me.

Has made sense since i was a kid.

You want to set the school record for the 440?

No one is gonna hand it to you (or any one).

You want it?

Prove it.

Fight like hell.

Note: Held the Spring Grove Area high school 440 record from 1977 through 2023.

What is that?

Forty-six years.

Note: Fought like hell but it never felt like a fight. It felt right.
