Ever feel like a misfit, a crazy person, an unwelcome thinker, an overachiever, a zealot?

Plain vanilla leadership satisfies the masses because it is the most socially accepted flavor of leadership.

This type of managerial work is necessary in order to keep the pipe line full with the mediocre work known as the daily grind.

Ever work in a place where excellence is demanded?

Are leaders really just environmentalists?

Tweets form Orlando Based Motivational Speaker

The most important thing a leader can do probably isn’t on their list today.

Nobody’s perfect.

Shame isn’t it?

Won’t be on the agenda tomorrow either.

Why?

One of the great mysteries in business.

Probably has something to do with the bottom-line and all that.

The leader’s job is to create an exceptional environment.

Culture is what people think and do without thinking.

And what we accept by default becomes the standard.

What is career hunger?

Ants devouring dead frog on road

(photo: Hungry ants devouring road kill frog… the ants are in a frenzy to succeed)

Career hunger.

Is it the hunger for more money?

The hunger to prove our worth?

Is it a hunger akin to wanting to contribute to society in a meaningful, authentic way?

Because we spend such a disproportionately large portion of our lives working, not satisfying this hunger is dangerous.

Many of us quit, and stay, for decades.

Is this a self-imposed prison?

Does it devour our soul?

Is it a catalyst to become the artist we were born to be?
