Saying goodbye to work

Saying goodbye to work.

Not to be confused with Disney’s retirement.

When i retired from Disney, i didn’t retire from work.

Driving this decision to stop working is to eliminate regret from never experiencing ‘true retirement”.

In 2026 full social security benefits are available.

Have fun

Snowmen are fun in Florida. Why? The juxtaposition. Makes us smile because Winter weather here is awesome. With all the blue, clear skies, sun, and warm temps.

If there is such a thing as a leader harvest or leadership harvest, have never heard of it nor seen it demonstrated.

Love the concept though.

First heard of it 20 seconds ago in my mind.

In jeff-land, the fruit of the leader harvest is a byproduct called fun.

Guessing you only get one shot at pro-level. Pro-level is where you transition from a busy career to an intentional exit off the career superhighway.

Just off the highway is an oasis most speed right by, never knowing.

It’s dreamy.

Surreal.

There you get to do what you want, when you want.

You receive a Royal compensation for this crowning-few-years of transition from top of your game to no longer competing.

Scale teaching love

(Please) get the dang books written, bruh.

Scale teaching love.

Another thing i think about quitting is working.

If business fell in my lap, could do it for the rest of my life.

Historically, the pre-contract work (getting to the contract) feels like work; like a have-to-do.

Get-to-do ratio needs to hover around 95-98%.

Sure it’s lofty.

That’s the Disney Way.

Set and achieve no small goal.

Too tired to finish

Cast parking at DAK.

Too tired to finish?

Almost asleep at the keyboard as today got away from me.

If it weren’t for the fact that i’m four days from completing 11 consecutive years writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts, it would be so easy to say, “It’s not worth it. Today’s posts can wait until tomorrow.”

Never said it. Perhaps never will.
