St Mary, day 3, work

Mountain lake
Iconic Wild Goose Island on St Mary lake. The most photographed spot in Glacier National Park. Literally our first stop on Going-to-the-Sun Road after arriving in St Mary.

Recognizing Glacier’s magic is what led to our ‘Glacier hiking career’.

St Mary, day 2, work

mountain
Divide Mountain. An iconic St Mary Peak.

You think you know it all.

And then you get a lesson you didn’t expect nor hope for.

And once again, life lets you “level-up”.

What an unexpected, welcomed gift.

St Mary, day 1, work

Glacier Park ariel view
The center-right half of this map is the Swiftcurrent and Many Glacier area. St Mary is seen on this map in lower left corner.

When we’re here, everything seems so large and magnificent.

When i pause to frame up St Mary against the Cosmos’s backdrop, this is all merely a microscopic speck of dust.

quote about habits
The habit of annual Glacier National Park visits, since 2013. That’s how we landed on the future we’re presently living in now.

1973.

1980.

1983.

1993.

2013-2026.

Swiftcurrent Valley, day 6, work

mountains from National Park lodge
A different view and perspective of Swiftcurrent Valley, and Mt Wilbur, from Many Glacier Hotel’s parking lot at sunrise.

Dude, first of all, this photo is from an iPhone, from a parking lot.

Second, we did not have to drive 2 1/2 hours to get here.

Lastly, this is less than a mile walk from our Swiftcurrent Motor Inn room.
