Just finished a phone call while stepping onto the gym’s parking lot.

If today was your last day, a Nickelback song, just came on my iPhone.

And now Joe, Anytime Fitness personal trainer, asks me as i walk by, “How are you doing?”

If I was doing any better, i’d have to be twins to handle it all.

Then Joe smiles and says…

Man has two lives to live. His second occurs when he realizes he has one life to live.

Are you satisfied with your life’s pace?

Last night on LinkedIn. Busy executives are astounded on Undercover Boss. They were clueless about what happens on the front line. Why?

i’m defining ambition as a busy mind. We can also say that being consistently/constantly preoccupied defines ambition too.

My 60 years of research and study concludes that ambition of any kind accelerates the passage of time.

Moving too fast through life is a proven way to miss small, wonderful nuances of life. When was the last time you stopped to stare at the clouds and find cool cloud images?

Peace of mind feels elusive when our pace raises our stress levels too high for too long.

Peace of mind is only possible through:

  • Simplification
  • Clarity
  • Slowness
  • Becoming indistracable

Distraction is our human response to something uncomfortable. Highly-processed food snacking between meals. Facebook when we are bored or stressed. Watching TV or YouTube.
