Love songs

Country music has some of the greatest love songs.

The genre, unofficially (according to me), also has the highest percentage of love songs.

Note: Christian music may have the highest percentage. (And it should). However, the karma here is love from human to human, not human to deity.

Take it

Disney University TV monitor messaging
When i turn my head slightly to the right, this is what i see.

This post is an intermission from sales talk…

Life is not a dress rehearsal…

On a recent 10-mile walk near Walt Disney World, i began by asking Siri to shuffle my music. There are 6k songs downloaded on the iPhone. Minuscule odds of this song playing in the first hour (or at all).

But it did.

In the moment, felt compelled to share it here.

Then doubt set in…

Unprofessional.

LinkedIn isn’t a place to play office-DJ.

No one has time to stop and watch a music video.

You’re wasting your time.

Don’t embarrass yourself.

Decided to simply smile at the momentary ‘ambition’ to share a song (and performance) that epitomizes passion…

And think about the blessings — being gifted with a new day.

Regret stinks. So here’s the message. Better one day late than never.

Someone is gonna see this for the first time (and get watery-eyed).

My mantra…every day, all day…

Life is not a dress rehearsal. Live like you mean it.

What is an imaginary unit?

Is our brain the Imagination (not imaginary) unit?

Motivation is like a fire.

You must add fuel to it or it goes out.

Once a fire goes out, you have to rebuild and start over.

That makes no sense to start, stop, restart…and perhaps habitually repeat.

Find a million ways to stay motivated to keep finding fuel.

One fire.

To last a lifetime.

It’s possible.

Joy and gratitude for the little things are my two favorite fuels.

Fun is the motivation i use to fan the embers and the flames.

WDW Day 1 – Back Home, work

LinkedIn update screen shot
At 35k’ yesterday, caught this LinkedIn update. Copied and pasted what Nicoletta shared in the second half of her update.

Nicoletta pulled this from official Disney communications:

She goes on to say this next sentence then quotes official Disney communication…

For those unfamiliar with The Walt Disney Legacy Award…

“Every cast member who is selected to receive The Walt Disney Legacy Award has been nominated by a fellow cast member or peer. Every few years, cast members around the world, from our parks to consumer products, have the opportunity to submit testimonials about fellow co-workers who go above and beyond each day and carry-on Walt Disney’s lasting legacy to our guests and fellow cast.”

“There are three specific traits each Walt Disney Legacy nominee is measured against: dream, create, inspire. These three qualities were so prevalent across the symphony of Walt Disney’s life and serve as a foundation in deciding if any one cast member’s actions live up to receiving the Legacy Award. A cast member who is nominated must consistently strive to make dreams come true by enhancing the Disney experience, create new innovative ways to deliver Disney magic and inspire others.”

Stunning consistency

Wild Lily.

Simple.

A lone flower.

Amongst the vast sodded easement between The Disney Parkway (as i call it) and the sidewalk, the annual ritual of a lone Lily pushing through to bloom before the County mowers mow the roadside easement.
