Hey industrial revolution, stop stealing our dreams

This is only for busy people who want to take a risk to pause a few minutes to potentially feel something strong enough from this 2016 Seth Godin riff that might actually influence the way they do their current work.

Fear is relentless

Zappos school of wow
Stumbled upon this yesterday. My work ethic tells me to attend to benchmark. What will i miss (fear) if i don’t attend?

Fear (sometimes disguised as doubt or procrastination) is relentless.

The best weapon against fear is a strong work ethic.

The price we pay for avoiding failure

Favorite artist, Hugh McLeod.

Want to be your own demise?

change quote
Is being uncomfortable an integral part of your comfort zone.

There is never a right time to do a difficult thing?

We believe what we want to believe.

This is dangerous.

May i submit the paradox?

There is always a right time to do a difficult thing.

Cultural rules apply to people in power before they are applied to those without power.

Working with CEO’s and Executive teams, this is literally the most challenging transformation.

Why?

Because executives are too busy to change.

Our two weapons to defend ourselves from fear

Disney Keynote Speaker
Lavalier microphones: the more there are the harder it is to manage. Same with writing seven Disney Business books.

The thing about fear and doubt is that we always have two weapons to defend ourselves.

  1. Creativity.
  2. Change.

We make our plans for a future state.

But the future is unknown.

Please take the initiative to launch, learn, revise, repeat.

Try something.

Revise it as necessary.

Relaunch the new change.

Keep repeating until done.

(We are never done.)

Excited to try something i’ve never done before.

A chip off the old Walt Disney block.
