A high-mountain chalet made from mountain-side rocks.
A small, spartan room, stone floor, with a steel bunkbed and one folding chair. A window, modest wall mirror and tiny nightstand. A wooden door that locks only from the inside.
The walls are thick from the massive rock ‘bricks’.
If you climb up onto the outside windowsill, you create a homemade, natural ‘chair’.
Sometimes it’s the best seat on the Continental Divide.

You know my Christmas Story.
Worked at Disney 13 years before asking for Christmas week off.
Didn’t get it.
Asked again (only the second time ever) after 14 years at Disney.
Got it.
Only took 14 years. But the kicker is i knew not to ask for the first 12 years.
‘We work while others play‘ is learned on Day One in Disney Traditions (new hire orientation).
Note: It’s fun to know i can tell that story from personal experience, not some legendary Cast Member folklore.

Christmas vs Easter.
Which is your favorite holiday?
Christmas seems to be more festive, more fun, more celebratory. More decorations, songs, food, trees, presents, Santa, etc.
Christmas brings humanity a Messiah (in Christian doctrine).
Christmas is such a beautiful and humble love story.
Yet.
Yet Christmas means nothing without Easter.
Nothing.
Easter is hands down the most important day in my life.
Jesus-level Love.
Jesus-level redemption.
Jesus-level forgiveness.
