Summer Ski Jumping?
Summer Ski Jumping?

Happy Sunday. Thank you for following these blogs. They are designed to get you to think.

Differently.

Occasionally, they may also get you to laugh.

Today might be such a day.

Do what you fear and the death of that fear is certain. Listen for it here, at the end of this short You Tube I shot in Finland last year.

Sh*t The Gurus Never Tell You

The video speaks for itself, but you have to listen closely and pay attention, or you’ll miss the underlying message, which is intended to help you transform yourself. By the way, transforming yourself has to start sometime. Eventually, the “sometime in the future when the timing in your life is better” will run out.

Pete Blank, a former Disney leader, is an author and blogger.

Yesterday’s post is my favorite of all he’s written.

Pete’s post is entitled, “Leadership and Lesbians, Cheaters, Whores, and Rapists…oh my!

You can observe a lot by paying attention.

But the caveat is, you have to pay attention.

Because if you don’t….well, that’s Pete’s point. Thank you Pete for your excellent perspective.

Happy Birthday Disneyland

Walt Disney’s Disneyland turned 55 yesterday.

This significant day in American history came and went, relatively unnoticed.

Just like many important dates.

As a leader, you can not allow this to happen, if you want to have a great company culture.

For people who want the motivation and courage, to dust off their childhood dreams, Randy Pausch, The Last Lecture, provided a beacon and hope for millions the world over.

But then he died.

Who will recall him now? How will we recall him? Why will we recall him?

I will. Using blogs. Because he still  inspires people, to this very day. But each year, more people forget the significance of his simple message.

Who couldn’t use some inspiration?

Think the people at the Walt Disney Company forgot about Disneyland’s 55th Anniversary yetserday?

Not a chance.

Why?

Same reasons as Randy Pausch, who’s (death) anniversary is one week away.
