Wow. i have to make it back. Otherwise, it’s an 11-mile walk to the closest road access.
Fear holds leaders back. And it holds leaders back their entire career. Overcoming is the DNA of exceptional leaders. This is rarely talked about and therefore rarely addressed.
And like a summit, it’s a continuous journey.
It literally took 30 years for me to figure this out.

Audience participation up on stage is a great way to create energy in a room.
Animated body language generates energy.
From the Board room to the bathrooms and everywhere in between, the speaker’s methods and messages must resonate universally. When a client is paying a premium for a world-class engagement, it’s best to deliver world-class.

Why would anyone gladly pay a premium when there are other providers offering a “same category” product or service at a significantly lower price?
Prevailing wisdom suggests more often than not, we get what we pay for.
Go to an Apple Store (or Apple.com) and try to negotiate a lower price for any Apple product. Not gonna happen.
i could go on a long riff about this but won’t (because i actually did riff-on but deleted it shortly after it posted).

Working with Sports Organizations while at Disney Institute, here are a few i remember personally working with, during 15 years of full-time speaking from 1999-2014:
With the exception of USATF and NACDA, all other sports organizations participated in Leadership Excellence training for their executive teams.
All NBA teams i worked with also rolled out a second wave of training for every leader in their organization, which also had the Executives attending to demonstrate commitment.
A third layer of training completed the initial “Service Excellence” rollout which involved every front line employee, including part-time workers.
After the three-tiered rollout, additional assessments where made, driven by the individual organization’s economics and overall vision. The Orlando Magic demonstrated the most ongoing commitment. They also had the best customer service improvements.
