Life, like weather, is exhilarating, often nondescript, and sometimes treacherous. Hone adapting, overcoming, celebrating.

We had perfect weather – blue sky, warmth, and no wind – summiting Mt Reynolds 10 days ago. Today we had blue sky, yet unseasonably cold, ferociously-driven winds.

We spent three glorious hours on Reynold’s summit. We squeaked out maybe five minutes on Pollock. We adapted, overcame, and celebrated. Grateful for it all.

Rocks are just giant grains of sand.

None of us can predict our future. All of us can decide to never artistically give up.

Sold the experience, not the features

Matt picked a unique rock to add to the pile. It is tradition for first-time hikers to add a rock at the summit.

Without thinking

Rain, clouds, cold…it’s convincing enough – without even thinking about it – to make today an office day.

Culture is what you think and do, without thinking.

What’s taking so long?

Just for fun… a closer look.

A single, 50-day trip, even with good wifi, placed an unexpected and month-long burden on daily home life when i returned home to Walt Disney World.

In the past, and without Internet, i used the Notes App to daily write in Glacier and then transferred content and loaded photos at home.

Super time consuming.

In addition to securing good wifi this year, i also pre-loaded last year’s Glacier photos, while at home with good wifi, for this Summer’s posts written in Glacier. Writing is always easy. But uploading photos in WordPress takes longer than forever.

This solved for historically and excruciatingly long load times when i tried to keep up inside the Park.
