The world is full of critics.

i used to be one.

No longer.

Most critics have no idea how things actually get done.

i didn’t.

i thought things got done well, or poorly, based on someone’s ability to practice sound theory.

Theory is for amateurs.

The dreams, the struggles, the setbacks, the compromises, the weaknesses, the defeats, the perseverance, the joy, the creativity, and ultimately if you stay self-employed long enough and discard theory, the triumph.

Mary Poppins — Last night, Palm Sunday, was movie night

Cheryl has been working at Disneyland the past eight days, with six more to go.

Chapin and i have been to both Churches twice. Yesterday, Palm Sunday, was our third visit to each. Wanted to test the environment on one of the biggest Christian weekends of the year.

Serendipitously while getting lunch, we stopped at a red light and caught the Walt Life decal. Later last night our three first choices for movies all failed because they were Blue Ray and we don’t have a Blue Ray player.

Our fourth choice was Mary Poppins, which happened to have an old-fashioned DVD accompanying the Blue Ray version.

Chapin had seen Mary Poppins but was so young he couldn’t remember.

It’s my favorite live action Disney movie. UP is my favorite animated feature film, with original Lion King a close 2nd.

The final sentence is an example of vision

If you watch this video, listen carefully to the final sentence – it’s a brilliant example of vision.

What you can’t appreciate about Disney if you never worked on the inside, is that she doesn’t even know she did what she did.

She just did it.

Why?

Because it’s the Disney culture to think like that, without even thinking about it.
