Got your umbrella?

This is one avenue yet to be tried.

This is a perfect time to have a rainy day fund.

Adversity doesn’t develop character, it reveals it.

Remember that sentiment in today’s first post at MidLifeCelebration.com?

Having a rainy day fund is a perfect example.

Additionally, being debt free is also a perfect example. Learn to pay as you go, so when global adversity hits, your ship – your sanity – stays afloat.

The main reason we get rejected

Wisdom on a napkin
Intellectual joy. Loving thinking hard. No one cares about your past. We want to know where you’re going tomorrow.

The main reason we get rejected would sound like this from the recruiter:

The reason I didn’t hire you is not because you’re not qualified, it’s because I don’t believe your story.

Two different worlds

My friend, a Glacier Lodge Summer employee, encouraged me to summit Reynolds. Encouragement is good.

What works for me and what works for others (outsiders) are two different things.

A National Park Lodge employee and i became friends this Summer (2019) and at 24, he has an ambitious, yet unclear, future planned.

Extended an offer to him to text any questions at any time and i will reply quickly. Others did this for me, and i am paying it back or paying it forward.

So has being a father been the most significant thing in your life?

Yes….4-way tie with my birth, marriage, and discovering my purpose

Joyful and intense curiosity

Joyful and intense curiosity in the form of idea generation and risk-taking can lead to radical transformation.

Imagine going from Mid Life Crisis to Mid Life Celebration.

Imagine transforming from going the extra mile to going the extra inch.

How we verbalize things is how we think about things and how we think leads to how we act.

Do we speed up to avoid life’s toughest questions?

Glacier National Park
Important topics from late Spring 2018.

Do we speed up to avoid life’s toughest questions?

If we’re too busy to invest the time required for the toughest questions it begs a new question doesn’t it?

When then?

And if not anytime soon, when?

And if not ever (because that’s the message we’re sending), why?

Why not ever?

To know is to do. To know and not do is to not yet know.
