Present day photos

Disney studios Christmas tree
Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Yesterday.

My ten external hard drives to me is like finding an attic (or basement) full of old boxes.

Perhaps past treasures.

Perhaps past junk.

The future photos are likely to be from my recently recovered photo archives.

Blogging from Walt Disney World today.

Again.

Never gets old.

Overfocusing with your work

Disney Legacy Award name tag
Dream. Create. Inspire. Right there on the name tag. It’s a ‘Disney DNA’ thing.
45-second 2020 video: Taking risks, .thinking .differently and envisioning a future not only better than now but much better than now.

During the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic i’d bicycle all over Walt Disney World (WDW).

From March though Summer 2020, WDW was deserted.

The video above is fun to rewatch.

Leaders have many responsibilities. Similar in number and importance to what a parent has with a child(ren).

Love how i called out three top priorities for my business during the Covid lockdown:

  1. Taking risks
  2. .thinking .differently
  3. Envisioning a future not only better than now, but much better than now

Note: There was never any script to the short videos. i’d be bicycling for an hour or two and simply get an idea and look for the next place on WDW property to get the idea recorded. Many places are nondescript because the 40-square mile Disney property has many forests and swamps. The video above tells the visual story that ‘i was there’.

Time on my work

Disney Institute facilitation team Photo, 2007
Photo from 2005. We met at Disney Institute (DI) HQ at Celebration Place. Then took a DI (WDW) Company van to Backstage Disney’s Animal Kingdom (DAK). Then toured DAK before 9am.

Have said this since 2009-ish, i work seven days a week in order to have balance (vibrancy) in my life.

Time.

Who’s got time after the daily (career) work to do important things for themselves and the people they love?

Literally no one.

i broke the cycle in my own life.

There’s no ‘Super Bowl’ ring to prove it.

If there was, i’d need about 16 fingers to wear them all.

Book and keynote notes, work

conference room class
A rare photo of nearly the entire Disney Institute Team in a two-day internal training session.

A clear, concise, compelling vision is the key to desire.
