Spaceship earth and three people posing
Had an early dinner at Japan. While exiting Epcot, we turned around to watch the light show on Spaceship Earth. It was a special moment.

Retirement perks are worthless unless you use them.

We planned on using them long before we earned them.

A lifetime Disney Pass.

Sometimes i visit several days a week.

Sometimes we drive.

Sometimes i walk.

Sometimes i bicycle.

This week i’ve done all three.

What do you do?

There’s a place of discomfort we all need to go to.

We want deep down to go there.

We need someone encouraging to take us there.

This is what i do…

Lean into discomfort.

.think .differently

Have fun.

The only reason is good

Live like you might die very soon. Learn like you will never die. Teach, as if its the only reason you are here.

Work patience

Work patience.

Have always worked, my entire life.

Said differently, i have never not worked.

Been patiently waiting to nudge myself into not working anymore.

Why?

Because not working is a milestone i’d like to experience.

Note: There are clients easy to work with, no patience required. There are clients that consistently test my patience to the max. Being sucked into corporate urgency, corporate complacency, and the corresponding ‘swirls and fire drills’…not worth it anymore. Don’t need to be in that space. A front porch rocking chair is in my future.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Maybe someday Cheryl and i will pose with a grandchild. No expectation. We always play the hand we’re dealt.

Have you ever surrendered yourself to something? Something you don’t understand, but just feel inside that fighting it will never work?

Note: i’ve surrendered to the idea of prolific blogging. When it’s time to stop, i guess i’ll wrestle with the correct decision. And since i’ve seriously wrestled with stopping several times since 2009, the decision has always been to continue.
