The economy of vision

Many Glacier Hotel
What’s the vision for Many Glacier Hotel? Does everyone know it? Does everyone love it?

The economy of vision.

A few days ago, i asked the social worker about her biggest leadership challenge.

It was “poor leadership,” but now she has hope.

Six months prior, her company got a new leader.

His vision is so economic.

Food, faith, fun.

So simple, i remembered it days later, without writing it down.

Everyone likes good food, so insist on making it good.

Let people live and express their faith.

Make the place fun to be in.

The best leaders are destroyers

Singing Christmas Trees
Singing Christmas Trees, last night. First Baptist Church Orlando seats about 5,000.

The best leaders are destroyers.

Want traditional wooden pencils, you must destroy trees.

It works like this in corporate culture.

Some leader(s) figured out how to destroy a process using technology. The result is game changing.

Visualize what it’s worth before deciding anything

think differently
While driving i dictated this to our son, he typed it and sent it to me as a text.

Visualize what it’s worth to you (and your Company) to have a world-best cultural architect (from the 5th, and climbing, most admired company in the world) at your disposal for as long as you need; now imagine your journey without that resource.

Where are you going?

Where are you going?

Why?

Have a great “why”, or it’s gonna be a long trip.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Sustainable Civilization

Walmart Automotive department claim check
Yesterday, four new tires and a new battery.

Tire ratings
Do you know the three tire ratings? Treadwear, traction, and temperature.

As the Walmart customer walked past me i caught a glimpse of his tee shirt – Sustainable Civilization – and couldn’t help but go to a feeling of admiration for the creative who coined the phrase.

i immediately began thinking about the possibilities:

  • Sustainable leadership
  • Sustainable excellence
  • Sustainable corporate culture
  • Sustainable trust
  • Sustainable shareholder value
  • Sustainable reputation

i could go on and on.

Does every day mean something?

The answer is up to us.
