Trust your people to find the solution

Disney Customer Service Keynote Speaker
The entire circle needs a creative solution so that it becomes easily readable on a mobile device.

Trust your people to find the solution.

Patience is a virtue.

Learn, and relearn, how to not micro-manage.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Note to self, patience (and vision) is a virtue

Note to self, patience (and vision) is a virtue.

In fact, it’s the only way to maintain sanity.

Even driven, determined leaders must exercise patience.

A tree doesn’t grow overnight, but it does grow.

Same with an impossible vision.

My favorite vantage point in all of Walt Disney World

Disney Observation Deck
Gave John the email from York Chamber of Commerce.

Disney's Magic Kingdom from Contemporary Resort
About 730am yesterday.

Disney's Grand Floridian Resort from Contemporary Resort
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa from Contemporary Resort.

Epcot from Disney's Contemporary Resort
Looking South from observation deck.

John Faurote and Jeff Noel at California Grill
John seemed pleasantly surprised by our early morning excursion to the “Top of The World”.

My favorite vantage point in all of Walt Disney World is on top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

This is saying something because i’ve had the privilege of being in some amazing Disney Vantage points, including the highest room in Cinderella Castle.

So it was very intentional to take John there to have him experience our first official commitment to engage in a one-day “Jeff Noel Community Program”.

Hoping he never forgets reading those words on that email, and never forgets believing all his hard work and trust in a positive outcome will pay off.

When you have high, Disney-like standards

He waited in the car because last night Orlando went down to 33 degrees.

When you have high, Disney-like standards, it’s easy to be let down.

Is three weeks an acceptable standard to wait to hear back from a Speakers Bureau?

The ball is in his court. Garnering a 25% commission, it’s fair to expect to have a much higher standard for effective communication.

Poor performers are generally given an opportunity to change, and if they don’t, help them find their happiness elsewhere.

i hate to let someone go.

What we accept by default become or standard.

Yeah, leadership can be unpleasant at times.
