High altitude leadership

High altitude leadership is the same as low altitude leadership.

  • Vision
  • Involvement
  • Accountability
  • Commitment

Never get bored with the basics.

The Apple Temple

The old phone (right) automatically sets up the new phone.
Easy to follow steps.
The iPhone is an intuitive tool.

The Apple Temple.

Trust built this temple.

Trust keeps the temple open.

Turning the iPhone 11 Pro Max into my new phone was easy yesterday, as expected.

Picking up the Series 5 Apple Watch in a few hours to complete the business equipment upgrade.

The winds of change

Glacier as Winter arrives early.

The winds of change arrive every Autumn.

For a small business entrepreneur, a relentless effort is required to explore, think, and discover a simple revolutionary breakthrough.

Why?

Because revolutionary breakthroughs are what we all crave.

Breakthroughs that move us from complicated and arduous to simple and scalable.

This is my vision quest.

Disney Leadership welcome back

Princesses wear whatever they want. For the record i wear running shoes on Glacier’s trails, not hiking boots.

Disney Leadership welcome back.

Who welcomes you back when you’ve been on an extended business trip, especially if you are the CEO of You, Inc?

Trick question.

Like everything else as CEO of You, Inc, it’s your responsibility to make a fuss about your return.

Your calendar is probably packed with administrative responsibilities that have piled up from your home office.

Yes, you can work from anywhere and at anytime, yet your experience doing exactly that has really only been from last Summer and this Summer.

Last year, five weekly trips was a great first attempt to build your structure and process.

This Summer, the three-week and five-week stints stretched you in wonderful ways.

A key Disney leadership best practice is giving promising leaders (at every level) stretch assignments.

Semper gumby, always flexible.

Glacier Leadership graduation 2019

Goat Mountain on the right as we drove to Jackson Glacier overlook – where Sun Road is closed due to expected snow conditions.
Fusillade Mountain on right horizon.
Through the trees not far from Wild Goose Island overlook.

My oh my, how i have grown.

This five week business trip sets a new record for most time away from home since our wedding 36 years ago.

Note: a 28-day record was set two months ago, also on a Glacier business trip.

The record Disney business trip absence is a nine-day Hawaii trip.

Lessons learned, wisdom gained, and business progress made may or may not be revealed in future posts.

Why?

Today is a long travel day and there hasn’t been enough time today to reflect on everything – the reflection will likely mushroom while walking the flatlands of Walt Disney World in the heat and humidity.
