Love this photo so much. Using it twice this week. Hidden Lake and Bearhat Mountain, seen here near Logan Pass, is 22 minutes (doing speed limit) from Rising Sun.

Becoming the ‘luckiest’ human alive was never a tangible goal.

Never, ever.

(pretty cool if you ask me)

But over several decades it snuck up behind me and finally ‘took me down’.

And what was hidden in plain sight was the secret DNA…

Being continuously grateful.

Grateful for everything.

All the time.

No exceptions.

Lucky indeed to think and behave this way.

The fact that Wild Goose Island (pictured here) is less than one mile from Rising Sun Motor Inn is astonishing. It’s also wonderful.

Becoming an expert at something is generally the final, unintentional step when you follow a passion.

Glacier National Park Rising Sun
Glacier National Park’s Rising Sun Motor Inn is one of our favorites. Its proximity to Wild Goose Island and Logan Pass is unmatched. This is my wifi-hotspot. There are two or three parking spaces where the small front desk lobby wifi reaches. None of the Motor Inn rooms, cabins, or other parking spaces have wifi, or cell.

Glacier National Park Rising Sun Motor Inn. There are two of these ‘motels’, a dozen or so duplex cabins, and a handful of Camp Store building motel rooms. Our favorite rooms are any of the end ones because you get a side window which helps when there’s a breeze.

Fourth rule in life, continually over-focus on the things you used to under-focus on or ignore.

East Glacier day 12, work

small UHaul storage closet
Our small (5′ x 5′) UHaul storage closet. It was a good idea and served us well for several years.

We cleared out our UHaul Storage closet three weeks ago. We went back and officially closed our account a week ago. And today we were right next-door at the Staples store shipping home two large boxes of stuff via the UPS store there.
