The good news?

i love making and building business connections.

The bad news?

It’s time-consuming.

The good news?

Nearly every business practice has never-ending room for creative improvement.

Better scale. More impact. Greater contribution. Bigger ripple effect.

i wish i would have started a year ago

My advice is to start with yourself. This has a ripple effect of your kids (or the young people in your life if you don’t have kids).

My other piece of advice is twofold: do something different within 72 hours and become more positive, healthier, more grounded, remarkably better at work, and more organized at home – that you don’t say, “I wish I would have started a year ago.”

It’s a rare day when i go 12 hours without checking messages and responding quickly.

In the car and ready to drive home from Tampa, the voice mail from six hours earlier asked about my availability to deliver a customer service keynote in eight days.

Praying for the original Disney keynote Speaker who had a heart attack.

To listen more or to not listen more, that is the question

inspiring mission — Last night, a random commercial. Love the aspirational vision. Essentially, i aspire to do the same.

The Speakers Bureau gave them the top keynote speaker recommendations.

However, several members of the speaker selection committee had seen me speak a month ago and told the leader he should contact me.

As we concluded the 30-minute call, he said i should hear back in a couple days.

Was proud of myself for intentionally doing far more listening this call than usual.

Not sure if it was a good idea.
