Driven by tradition or creating tradition?

Changing business focus on the fly meant needing to come up with the logo above.

Presidents Day (Washington’s Birthday) is a catalyst for a nice three day weekend. It’s funny how much we rely on tradition to manage our celebratory days.

An alluring aspect of becoming an entrepreneur is the notion of calling your own shots. You get to decide when you work and when you don’t.

Looks good on paper.

And when you love what you do, it doesn’t feel like work. So all weekend there was plenty of work love going on. First independent, paying gig is in 72 hours. And it happened unbelievably fast, without an infrastructure in place.

Do what you have to do, so you can do what you want to do.

Editor’s note (November 9, 2015): The above logo is not being used anywhere at jeffnoel.com. In fact, the logo features “.lead .differently”as the tag line.

Still remembering your glory days?

At some point we reach our apex and then things go downhill.

It won’t be happening in 2015.

There are real life Disney Legends among us

Disney Legend Marty Sklar and jeff noel many years ago.

Can we turn a work assignment into a wonderful once-in-a-lifetime opportunity?

Maybe a decade ago was asked to be Marty’s “handler” for two days while he was at Walt Disney World to deliver a keynote speech.

It was a transformational experience because of the unanticipated quality time together.

In 30+ years at Disney, never asked for a single autograph. The photo above is no exception.
