97/3

Ninety-seven three principle.

At best, three percent of any job classification perform as artists.

This three percent are the outliers, the crazies, the square pegs in the round holes.

The zealots.

Hidden Mickey

Summited Mt Oberlin September 30 and planted the hidden Mickey to “surprise” Jody yesterday (October 1).

He was surprised to discover it.

He also immediately knew it had been planted. i knew he would. But it was still fun.

Jody wore one short sleeved tee shirt and shorts to climb Oberlin. i wore eight layers, a hat, gloves, scarf, three pairs of socks and three pant layers.

Have nicked named Jody, Thermal Man.

Crisis or Celebration?

Work-life balance book on a mountain top
Classic midlife bring-you-to-your-knees reaction is a crisis or a celebration. Photo: September 30, 2021….50th WDW birthday eve.
10-second video: What you see is always up to you.

Today’s avoidance is tomorrow’s fire drill. Life as a chronic fire-fighter will burn your joy to the ground.

You are better and smarter than that.

Happy present moment (.hpm)

Father and son sitting on couch
This popped up in “shared photos” last night. Might be my favorite candid shot of son and father. No doubt Chapin is sharing a hilarious meme.

On a “serious” note, while reflecting on yesterday’s two coaching calls, this idea hit me….and i sent it to an executive….

Reading, writing, and reflecting this morning – like every single day since April Fools Day 2009…

Crazy idea…

What if…

What if your brand differentiator is world-class leadership?

You know the saying, “it was an inside job”. But in this case, with admirable overtones.

Leadership (or lack thereof) drives everything.

You don’t want an excellent culture, you want a culture of excellence.

Highest bar set for everything.

A culture of excellence takes care of an excellent culture.

Just a thought.
