Few people are ever famous before they become famous

Few people are ever famous before they become famous.

When a famous person starts out, they aren’t famous.

Safe to say that the overwhelming majority of famous people never intended to be.

Mostly, the famous person was just some person who was looking for work.

Rent, food, clothes. The basics.

But something happens on their journey.

If we could only bottle it and sell it.

When you have high, Disney-like standards

When you have high, Disney-like standards, it’s easy to be let down.

Is three weeks an acceptable standard to wait to hear back from a Speakers Bureau?

The ball is in his court. Garnering a 25% commission, it’s fair to expect to have a much higher standard for effective communication.

Poor performers are generally given an opportunity to change, and if they don’t, help them find their happiness elsewhere.

i hate to let someone go.

What we accept by default become or standard.

Yeah, leadership can be unpleasant at times.

Idiot idealists, right?

Love them or hate them, if big dreams didn’t exist, the refrigerator never would have been invented. Or the car. Or books.

That echo that we hear, “Don’t go chasing crazy dreams, you’ll only end up being disappointed.”

Paradoxically, there’s the disappointment of regret.

It’s your call.

Good luck.

Highest and best use of your 401k assets?

Holy Family Orlando Catholic Church
Many neglect their fiscal responsibilities. The time to worry about your future is when you don’t need to.

Meeting with Wells Fargo this morning to discuss rolling over the Disney 401k, managed by Fidelity Investments.

Fidelity would like it to keep it in the family – rollover the corporate 401k into a different Fidelity investment opportunity. This would eliminate any (albeit remote) possibility of a “claw back‘.

While claw backs are highly unlikely with a company like Disney, there are no guarantees.

There have been real life examples where companies have collapsed (remember Enron) and 401k nest eggs destroyed.
