Time is the headliner now

post note with Jeff Noel quote about balance
The key to blogging or not blogging is how much energy i can pre-load from home before arriving in Glacier. So many creative ideas. i’m looking for the least amount of effort with the greatest amount of reward.

The saga continues…

As Glacier’s return looms…

As life’s clock continues to tick…

As the reality that one Summer will eventually be my last…

i think about if the ‘last’ is this Summer, how much time in Glacier do i want to spend thinking and then typing on a laptop keyboard?

The answer is, “Not much, and only if it’s easy and convenient”.

Blogging has always been easy and convenient, but it does take time.

Time is what’s on the table. Time is the headline issue, challenge, opportunity.

Have been asking what would mornings (or in recent years, afternoons) look like with an extra two hours not devoted to writing five daily, differently-themed blog posts.

Simultaneously, a fair question to ask is how much is enough?

Seriously, 15 years, well over 27,000 blog posts.

By the way, my published blog post total is more than 10,000 posts over the “official” world record of 17,212.

Working well is a privilege

Working well is a privilege.

(And at Disney, it’s a foundational expectation)

The essence of serving well is ‘what you do for a living’.

What you do for a living is your primary contribution to the human community.

Every job is important.

In the ant world, the colony falls apart without worker ants (or if workers don’t do their job well).

Whatever you do, do it in a remarkable way to be at peace with the lifelong opportunity you’ve been bestowed.

Pro-tip: Strive to discover a job where you get-to-do more than you have-to-do.

What a remarkable privilege.
