Organizational hygiene

Organizational hygiene is the deliberate act of making hard decisions, early and consistently, to prevent chaos from becoming the norm.

Hygiene rarely pays off short term. It’s always the work of an intentional organization, caring enough about the future to do something important every day this week.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

Jump start your work attitude the moment you open your eyes

Say this repeatedly to yourself upon awaking to jump start your work attitude the moment you open your eyes,

i feel happy, i feel healthy, i feel alive.

i feel happy, i feel healthy, i feel alive.

i feel happy, i feel healthy, i feel alive.

i feel happy, i feel healthy, i feel alive.

Say it to yourself in your thoughts, or, if you are alone, say it out loud.

Repetition is the mother of all learning.
