Taking the day off, work
Taking the day off from blogging seems like a ridiculous thought, let alone a ridiculous thing to type.
Yeah, like that is ever gonna happen.
But seriously.
The hours i spent today thinking about a simple, repetitive sentence. Unusually invested in ‘almost nothing’.
Anyway, am surprised to see the words flow well past one sentence copied and pasted on each blog.
Spent a lot of time thinking about how to blog with a single sentence for all blogs.
When doing manual and enjoyable labor, tending to your landscape (garden), there’s plenty of ‘thinking time’.

T-minus 5 days, work
“Purging-leadership” must confront, balance, and act on three compelling reasons not to purge.
It can be challenging to purge because our ‘stuff’ offers three benefits.
Our stuff…
- Reminds us of who we were.
- Reminds us of who we are now.
- Reminds us who we want to become.
Without stuff from our past and present, how do we manage our life’s meaning and our future identity?
How do we travel to the future without feeling unprepared?

Aging.
Advantage or disadvantage?
Aging is cool if you have a great CEO.
If you don’t have a great CEO, you’re doomed.
You know about life’s various wakeup calls.
What i just wrote may be a small wake-up call.
Painful in acknowledging it.
But true, for context.
You reap what you sow.
i’ve always loved being a gardener, even when i knew very little about gardening.
Not gonna lie, for a decent amount of years (at least the past 20), i feel like a master gardener.
Bloom where you’re planted.
Some gardener-personal leadership context…
Plants need three things to thrive.
- The right soil.
- The right amount of light.
- The right amount of water.
Ever seen a cactus near the Amazon river?
Ever seen a palm tree in the desert. (An oasis doesn’t count, which actually proves the 3 things plants need).
Ps. Did i mention we are seven days from wheels up to Paris?
