Saying goodbye to work

Saying goodbye to work.

Not to be confused with Disney’s retirement.

When i retired from Disney, i didn’t retire from work.

Driving this decision to stop working is to eliminate regret from never experiencing ‘true retirement”.

In 2026 full social security benefits are available.

Leading Glacier

Apple Watch
Happy Friday. Did what i had time to do before heading to Apple Store…
MacBook Air package box
First new MacBook Air in 10 years.

Leading in Glacier is easy and intuitive when you visit solo.

Decently easy when it’s just me and Cheryl.

It gets exponentially more challenging when you add four (possibly five) more mid-20’s adults.

This is not anywhere near being in my wheelhouse.

Stressful would be accurate.

And, what a challenge and opportunity to have.

Grateful.

Humbled.

Leaders eventually leave

Leaders eventually leave.

In a busy world, it’s easy to forget.

Someday a leader retires, gets promoted, moves away, or possibly dies.

We no longer get to interact with that leader the way we originally had the privilege to.

To over-focus on that, i published a life-guide (a book) for our son.

It published Thanksgiving Day 2013. The year before my Disney retirement. Also an over-focused, intentional choice.
