How scary can it be?

Working to win or working to not lose?

Either choice is scary.

One is filled with doubt, but possibility.

The other with stability, but regret.

It’s critical to be clear about this.

(If you want to live with peace and contentment.)

Trust your work gut

Pack-mule team arrived minutes after recording two podcasts.

“Do you want me to wait?”

“No, go ahead.”

Only 100 meters from our room, i proceeded ahead to fetch water needed to prepare a late lunch.

Our water jug was full so i didn’t need to go after all, but then i thought it would be good to fill the camelback in my backpack for this morning’s 8-mile hike out.

Hike and work like you mean it

Recorded an episode for me and for Jody at Ahern Pass.

While we hike, we work.

While we work, we hike.

Simple.

Profound.

Exceedingly grateful, like we mean it.

One plus one equals three

Seeking the lost art of growing old with intention. Sounds interesting. As CEO of You, Inc., everything you do or don’t do is your responsibility.
Hike number two yesterday.
Swiftcurrent firetower. Jody talking with Matthew, a Glacier Boat Company employee at Many Glacier.
On the way up to the fire tower. Looking North.
Looking up (and East).
Looking southeast.

Jody and i planned to record an “If Disney Ran Your Life” podcast episode at the fire tower.

The wind and cold (and conversation) cancelled that plan.

We descended for safety as we were beginning the early stages of being dangerously cold.

A key talking point on the hike is our observation of a potentially epidemic avoidance of personal responsibility.

As sunset faded to dusk and dusk was fading to darkness, we completed my first Glacier National Park If Disney Ran Your Life podcast episode.

It was a cool experience and i am glad to be back recording after a two-month break.

You won’t believe me

Mt. Oberlin in center. So under-rated.

Jody told me last night that if all we did was yesterday’s hike and we hiked back out this morning, “It’d be worth it.”

Guessing that his experience after 3 more nights here at Granite will border on un-believable.

You know what they say when things sound too good to be true?

“They probably are.”

There’s an exception to almost everything.

Dream big and remain amazed.
