A sincere pat on the back

Thanksgiving dinner, September 5.
  • Dining Hall.
  • Simple sunlight and plastic drinking cups.
  • Fancy plates hold an exquistly plated meal, for a backcountry environment.
  • Sperry Chalet’s world-famous lemonade.
  • A stark reminder.
  • Evening stroll, ever further from dorm hotel. One final Fireweed bloom before winter?
  • We surprised each other. i found a place to sit and reflect. The Goat was simply passing through.
  • Magnificent creature, as are humans. Mutual appreciation?
  • Speaking of creation, a salad like this, deep in the backcountry is literally a miracle to behold.

The “vision” built nine Glacier National Park Chalets. Each Chalet a one-day horseback ride from the next. Today, only two of the Great Northern Railway’s Chalets remain. i stay at both as often as possible.

Why work from anywhere, including Granite Park Chalet, deep in the middle of nowhere?

The challenge with leveling up

Happy present moment.
Mountains
Zooming in a bit. Stunningly breathtaking. The wind is wiping our faces and bodies as we savor 15 minutes on the summit. We have to descend to get Logan and Spencer back to work.

The challenge with leveling up your work and home leadership is that some of your friends and colleagues may fall behind. 

Do not let your growth be stunted by someone else’s lesser habits and or lower hanging goals.
