Four hours up here today. Met Spike (given name) and Adam (from Poland). That’s it. Hidden Lake Trail probably had a thousand or two in those same four hours.

Life is a path.

What we do and how we do on life’s path is ours to orchestrate.

Obviously we must play the hand we are dealt. But at least we get to play a hand.

GNP Day 10 work

Time-stamping (watch upper right) 7:46pm. Sunset is at 9:30pm. In a perfect world, the goal is to be back at car two-hours before sunset. A little rusty today.

Even before sunset, darkness announces itself on every mountain’s East side.

Sun still shining on West-facing mountain wall. Oh, and first 2022 Big Horn Sheep sighting.

Do what you fear and the death of that fear is certain.

It was a bold move to do the first 2022 Oberlin summit as a sunset-summit.

In reality, the first attempt, a week ago, was in the morning. Significant snow prohibited the first (normal daytime) Oberlin summit.

By the way, this summit marks 24 total.

Someone once asked, ”How many times have you climbed Oberlin?”

Been keeping track ever since.
