As i sit next to Margaret, alternating between holding her hand, whispering loving thoughts in her ear, and writing today’s posts, it’s not lost on me that today is Walt Disney’s birthday.

Our entire family, on both sides, has enjoyed Walt Disney’s legacy.

And Cheryl’s side in particular has enjoyed Margaret’s and Johnny’s legacy.

She’ll continue to do project work. Beginner’s luck runs in my family. So thankful she didn’t say it would be impossible to continue helping, now that she is back working full time as an Executive Chef.

As ideas pop into my head i write them down to help her do her art better.

On April Fool’s Day 2009, jeff noel began writing five daily, differently-themed blogs (on five different sites). It was to be a 100-day self-imposed “writer’s bootcamp”, in preparation for writing his first book. He hasn’t missed a single day since.

 

Always stay humble and kind when depositing a check like that

 

Friday afternoon after the mail came, the check i had been expected finally arrived. So yesterday, a Saturday, our bank happened to be open and i made a special trip to deposit the check. It was a big one.

i kept telling myself, “Always stay humble (and kind).”
