Every Cast Member learns key Walt Disney Company milestones on their very first day with the Company during orientation. Few milestones are bigger than the first cartoon with synchronized sound. Walt used his own voice for Mickey, so we could save money. The new-hire orientation is purposefully called Disney Traditions.
