  • Thirty-four miles later, an hour drive up to 6,600’ reveals 33 degrees at trailhead.  
  • Even waiting until after 9am, parts of trail are ice-covered.
  • Hidden Lake Trail is closed from the (popular) overlook down to the lake. Bears are frequenting. 
Order iPhone 13 and go hiking.

Adversity doesn’t develop character, it reveals it. Planning is great. Adapting is next-level planning. Adapting is on-the-spot planning.
